Lisa is responsible for the development and oversight of Impax’s Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analysis, including overseeing the Stewardship work in the Listed Equity team. She is the Chair of Impax’s ESG, Sustainability Lens and Environmental Committees and also Co-Heads Impax’s impact investment work.
Lisa joined Impax in 2010. She started working in the financial industry in 1999 and previously worked as an executive director in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs International. Lisa has also worked as an independent consultant, focusing on environmental policy research and analysis.
She is active within working groups and advisory councils relating to impact investing, the circular economy and ESG standard setting with several external industry organisations.
Lisa has an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics as well as an MSc in Finance from the Hanken School of Economics, Finland.
Hortense Bioy, CFA, is Director of Sustainability and Passive Strategies Research within the Morningstar Manager Research team in Europe.
Based in London, Hortense spearheads Morningstar’s ESG research agenda in EMEA, with the objective of educating investors and providing them with the tools they need to evaluate funds through an ESG lens. She also leads an award-winning team that provides independent research on ETFs and index funds.
Hortense joined Morningstar as an equity ETF analyst in 2010 from Bloomberg where she was a financial journalist. She began her career as an M&A analyst at Société Générale in Hong Kong.
Hortense holds a master’s degree in finance from Paris Dauphine University and a postgraduate degree in finance from Paris Sorbonne University. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Dean Cook is a Multi Asset Portfolio Analyst within the M&G Treasury & Investment Office, which manages over £100bn in multi asset strategies. Prior to joining M&G in May 2017, Dean worked at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank, performing a range of duties within the firm’s investment research team. This included strategic asset allocation, manager selection, multi asset portfolio construction, performance attribution, and risk management. Dean holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Essex, graduating with first class honours. Dean is a CFA charterholder.
Tancredi is the Founder and CEO of Kuros Associates, a capital introduction and investment advisory firm focussed un scouting best in class investment solutions and funds that are independent of big financial groups distribution channels. Tancredi studied at Bocconi University and participated in the Impact Investing Program at Oxford University Saïd Business School. Previously to founding Kuros Associates, Tancredi worked at Mirabaud Asset Management, Fidelity International and BNP Paribas Investment Partners, covering different roles between investment management and business development. Tancredi founded Kuros Associates seeing an opportunity to improve the investment management industry by promoting independent and more sustainable investment managers.
Tancredi is a fond reader and musician, and he plays several musical instruments and reads copiously in his spare time. Moreover, Tancredi's passion for literature brought him to become a young published author with his book Ri_partenza (Restart), he now writes mostly on his homonymous blog entitled Peace, Love and Money (www.tancredicordero.com).
Julia has spent over 25 years working to help intermediaries understand sustainable, responsible and ethical (SRI) investment.
She has run her own business, SRI Services, since 2010, where the focus is the fund manager supported Fund EcoMarket fund database tool.This free to use fund tool enables advisers to research ESG strategies and match client’s personal preferences to individual fund (ESG) policies and features. After a slow start Fund EcoMarket now boasts well over 1000 users per month.
Alongside juggling teenagers and dogs her work includes consultancy, events, policy, training and media work all aimed at encouraging a greater focus on ESG and sustainability related issues. She has also recently re-joined the board of not-for-profit industry association UKSIF, having previously chaired their retail sub-committee from 2002-09.
Julia was previously the SRI Marketing Manager at Friends Provident (1996-08), having started her career as a broker consultant with NPI in 1989.
(Friends Provident (now part of Aviva) launched the UK’s first ethical funds in 1984, NPI launched their first sustainable investment funds in 1991 (now run by Janus Henderson).
Ashley Fagan joined Amundi in January 2019 as Global Head of ETF, Index and Smart Beta Strategic Clients and Head of Development for UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining Amundi, Ms. Fagan worked at BlackRock for 10 years, most recently as Head of the iShares UK & Ireland Institutional Team. Prior to that, Ms. Fagan led the iShares Corporate Segment for EMEA and Insurance and Pensions for the UK & Ireland. Ms Fagan also worked at Barclays Investment Bank in the European CDO Division and held roles at a number of Canadian banks including RBC and Bank of Nova Scotia.
Ms Fagan holds a BA (Honors) in Economics and Business from the University of Waterloo, Canada and is a CFA Charterholder.
Louie is a Senior Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Tilney. He joined the firm in 2011 and specialises in infrastructure, renewables and sustainable investing.
At Tilney, Louie has primary responsibility for ethical and sustainable fund selection, ESG research and is a portfolio manager on Tilney’s successful ethical fund of funds.
Out of the office Louie is an elected London Councillor.
Gianfranco Gianfrate is Professor of Finance at EDHEC Business School. He writes and researches on topics related to innovation financing, corporate valuation, and climate change finance. Prior to joining EDHEC Business School, he held teaching and research positions at Erasmus University (Netherlands), Harvard University (USA), and Bocconi University (Italy). Gianfranco also has extensive experience in the financial industry, having worked, among others, for Deloitte Corporate Finance (Italy), Hermes Investment Management (UK), and iStarter (UK). Gianfranco holds a BA and a PhD in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
Philipp is the founder and chairman of The WikiRate Project, a non-profit which runs wikirate.org, an open data platform that brings corporate ESG data together in one place, making it accessible, comparable, and free for all.
Philipp is also a Director at Augusta & Co since 2013, leading sell-side and buy-side mandates covering European renewable energy assets (offshore wind/ onshore wind/ solar). Prior to Augusta he spent seven years with principal investments at JPMorgan, including five in the tax equity business in Chicago where he helped invest in numerous onshore wind, solar and geothermal transactions.
Philipp has a Diplom Ingenieur from the Technical University Berlin, a Diplom Kaufmann, Diplôme de Grande Ecole and an MSc from ESCP Europe, and became a CFA in 2009.
Laura is a partner in CMS’ London office, and a regulated funds expert with over 13 years’ experience advising the asset management industry. She has particular expertise on the product side and advises a broad range of large asset managers on all aspects of their fund ranges, across all asset classes, from structuring and authorisation to reorganisation and rationalisation. She routinely advises banks and asset managers on their readiness for the impact of ESG regulation at a strategic and operational level, as well as on the development of ESG-focused products and related policies and literature.
Damien acts as Head of Impact Investing at EQ Investors, the first B-Corp accredited Discretionary Fund Manager (DFM) focusing on sustainable and impact investing. He has been managing the award-winning EQ Positive Impact Portfolios since their launch in 2012. Damien enthusiastically spreads the word of impact investing to financial advisers across the country by explaining how clients can achieve their financial goals while also making a positive contribution to society and the environment. Before joining EQ Investors, Damien worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He is also a CFA charter holder.
Sophie graduated with a Bsc in Mathematics from The University of Manchester in 2015. Shortly after graduating Sophie joined the FE fundinfo graduate scheme and one year later joined FE Investments. She is responsible for the selection of all Global, North American and European funds for the FE Investments Model Portfolio Service (~£2.5bn AUM) and FE Investments Approved List. This includes monitoring existing and prospective funds through fund manager meetings to obtain a stronger understanding of their investment process, portfolio positioning and the manager’s market outlook. After the launch of FE Investments Mosaic portfolios she became a Co-Portfolio Manager of the Mosaic Global, Mosaic North American and Mosaic European mandates. She is particularly interested in Sustainable, ESG and Impact funds and helps to manage the FE Investments Responsible Approved List.
Veronique began working in the financial sector in 1999 following a degree in International Finance, Marketing and Management. She studied at French, American and British universities acquiring sound international business knowledge and practice. After being on the equity trading floor she joined Private Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch, successfully managing a team of Financial Advisors covering Europe as well as managing a book of high-net-worth international client through numerous economic cycles. Veronique has demonstrated great investment flair and integrity in the many years she has spent as a chartered wealth manager. She holds the PCIAM CISI level 6 Certificate and was also FSA and Series 7 registered, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute. Veronique is very involved with women in banking and finance through mentoring and inclusion.
Ben joined the Brooks Macdonald graduate programme in 2011, before qualifying as an Investment Manager in 2014. In 2017 he approached the Investment Committee with a plan to develop Brooks Macdonald’s approach to Responsible Investing. The aim was to create a framework that allowed the effective management of multi asset portfolios that meet the dual objective of reflecting responsible investment principles, whilst providing strong risk adjusted returns. After 18 months of development this resulted in the launch of Brooks Macdonald’s Responsible Investment Service in October 2018.
Richard is responsible for determining the strategy and focus for the business in conjunction with the Board and the Executive Management Team. Richard works closely with our clients and all members of the team as well as forging strong business relationships within the wider industry. Prior to founding Square Mile he was Research Director and co-founder of Old Broad Street Research Limited (OBSR). Following the acquisition of OBSR by Morningstar he became joint Managing Director of Morningstar OBSR, then MD of European Investment Consulting at Morningstar Inc. He has more than 25 years industry experience, starting at BMA Services in 1986 before becoming an analyst at Buck Consultants
Felicity is responsible for managing advisory mandates at Julius Baer International, for active clients and for those with bespoke needs or circumstances. She holds a MSc degree in Finance and is a CFA charter holder. Felicity also holds the CFA certificate in ESG Investing.
Mona is a Director of Stonehage Fleming Investment Management, she conducts due diligence on collective investments at Stonehage Fleming and contributes to multi-asset investment strategy and research. Her primary work since joining in September 2018 has been building the Global Sustainable Investment Portfolios offering for clients.
Lisa Stonestreet is currently Head of Communications and Charity Impact at the EIRIS Foundation. Lisa heads up the Foundation’s ‘Charities and Responsible Investment’ work programme which aims to help charities adopt and shape responsible investment practices. Lisa previously worked for the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) for over 10 years, latterly as the Programme Director of UKSIF’s Market Programme. Lisa supported the growth of UK market demand for responsible investment and other financial services that advance sustainability through activities such as Good Money Week, the Ethical Investment Association and support for Pension Funds and Charity Investors. Lisa initially developed an interest in sustainable finance while studying Finance and Environmental Economics and completing her dissertation on Ethical Investment Funds in South Africa.
