Investment Analyst of the Year

Open to women working in an investment analyst role within the UK's investment industry assessing companies and related financial information. Including, but not limited to, working for an asset manager, wealth manager or investment research company. Nominees must be able to demonstrate excellence in their role over the past year and the impact they have had at team, firm or industry level.

Fund Selector of the Year

Open to women working in a fund analyst or fund selector role within the UK's investment industry. Including, but not limited to, working for an asset manager, wealth manager or investment research company. Nominees must be able to demonstrate excellence in their role over the past year and the impact they have had at team, firm or industry level.

Fund Manager of the Year (large firms)

Open to women managing funds that are registered for sale in the UK. This award will serve as an inspiration for other women to consider a career in fund management and will therefore be judged primarily on qualitative factors, although performance will also be considered. In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate achievements and impact over the past 12 months at team, firm or industry level. More than 500 employees.

Fund Manager of the Year (small to medium firms)

Open to women managing funds that are registered for sale in the UK. This award will serve as an inspiration for other women to consider a career in fund management and will therefore be judged primarily on qualitative factors, although performance will also be considered. In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate achievements and impact over the past 12 months at team, firm or industry level. Under 500 employees.

Wealth Manager of the Year

Open to female wealth managers based in the UK. This category will reward women making a noticeable impact at their firm to benefit clients and their business. This could include mentoring women in the business, helping improve diversity at company or industry level, educational initiatives, or supporting younger or female clients. In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate achievements and impact over the past 12 months at team, firm or industry level.

Investment Woman of the Year (large firms)

Open to women whose overall achievements and work within the UK investment industry has helped raise the profile of the investment sector as an excellent career choice for women. The award is not specific to any particular role, but nominees must be able to demonstrate their impact at firm or industry level over the past 12 months. More than 500 employees.

Mentor of the Year

Open to men and women in the UK investment sector who have supported and encouraged women to fulfil their potential and achieve excellence within the workplace. In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate their impact over the past 12 months.

Role Model of the Year

Open to women in the UK investment sector who have helped inspire others to fulfil their potential and achieve excellence in the workplace. This could be within a particular company or the wider industry. In particular, the judges will be considering their impact over the past 12 months.

Rising Star of the Year Award (large firms)

Open to newer female entrants in the UK investment sector who have impressed colleagues with their desire to succeed, drive change, help others and achieve excellence in the workplace. We are looking for women who are starting to make an impact at their company or within the wider industry. Nominees must be 30 years of age or under on 31 March 2022 or have worked in the investment industry for less than three years as at 31 March 2022. More than 500 employees.

Rising Star of the Year Award (small to medium firms)

Open to newer female entrants in the UK investment sector who have impressed colleagues with their desire to succeed, drive change, help others and achieve excellence in the workplace. We are looking for women who are starting to make an impact at their company or within the wider industry. Nominees must be 30 years of age or under on 31 March 2022 or have worked in the investment industry for less than three years as at 31 March 2022. Less than 500 employees.

Team Leader of the Year

Open to women in the UK investment sector who head up a team and can demonstrate excellence in leadership, team support and management, recruitment, communication and vision. In particular, they must demonstrate their impact over the past 12 months.

Most Inspiring Returner

Open to women who have returned to work in the year to 31 March 2022 in the UK investment sector following maternity leave or a career break and have acted as a role model, driven change or made a significant impact at firm or industry level following their return.

Unsung Hero Award

Aimed at women in support roles in the UK investment industry who have gone above and beyond to contribute to their business, drive change, support a team or encourage diversity & inclusion in the workplace. In particular, the judges will consider their impact at company, team or industry level over the past 12 months.

Fund Saleswoman of the Year

Open to women working in a sales and distribution role within the UK's investment industry selling mutual funds on behalf of an asset manager. This category will look at the whole spectrum of the sales role from a support function through to leading a team. In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate achievements and impact over the past 12 months at team, firm or industry level.

Distribution Woman of the Year

Open to women working in a sales and/or distribution role within the investment industry in both the UK and Europe. This category would include product sales (not limited to UK fund sales), client services, business development, third party sales and relationship management. It is also open to women at companies selling services into the UK investment industry (IT software, Executive Search etc). In particular, nominees must be able to demonstrate achievements and impact over the past 12 months at team, firm or industry level.

Marketing Influencer of the Year

Open to women in the UK investment sector whose contribution via the marketing spectrum has helped influence and raise awareness of investment issues. This could be through the use of multiple marketing channels such as direct, digital, social media, events etc. Nominees must be able to demonstrate their impact over the past 12 months in particular.

International Investment Woman of the Year

Open to women who are based outside the UK but who work closely with the UK investment industry and whose overall achievements have helped raise the profile of the investment sector as an excellent career choice for women either through education, training, leadership, mentoring or acting as a role model. The award is not specific to any particular role but nominees must be able to demonstrate their impact over the past 12 months in particular.

Investment Industry Leader of the Year

Open to women holding senior roles within the UK investment industry at C-suite level who can demonstrate exceptional leadership and influence at their own company and broader industry level. In particular, they will have to show how they have encouraged women to progress and championed diversity & inclusion at their own company and industry-wide level and the impact they have had in the past 12 months. Roles could include CEO, CIO, CMO, CTO, CFO etc.

Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year (New)

Open to women in the UK investment industry who are leading the way in terms of championing diversity & inclusion at firm or industry-wide level and are helping to drive change in this area. In particular, the judges will consider their impact at firm or industry level over the past 12 months.

Sustainable & ESG Investment Woman of the Year (large firms)

Open to women working in the UK investment industry who can demonstrate how they have championed sustainable & ESG investing at their own firm, across the wider industry and/or helped promote this area to investors. They should be able to give examples of the impact they have made in sustainable & ESG investing, especially during the past 12 months. Entrants can come from any job role in the UK investment industry. More than 500 employees.

Sustainable & ESG Investment Woman of the Year (small to medium firms)

Open to women working in the UK investment industry who can demonstrate how they have championed sustainable & ESG investing at their own firm, across the wider industry and/or helped promote this area to investors. They should be able to give examples of the impact they have made in sustainable & ESG investing, especially during the past 12 months. Entrants can come from any job role in the UK investment industry. Less than 500 employees.

Investment Industry Contribution to Diversity & Inclusion Award

Open to investment companies in the UK who are leading the way in terms of improving diversity & inclusion at firm and industry level. Companies will have to demonstrate how they are championing diversity & inclusion across their business, driving change, and their influence and impact over the past 12 months in particular.

Investment Industry Contribution to Gender Diversity & Inclusion Award

Open to investment companies in the UK who are leading the way in terms of improving gender diversity & inclusion at firm and industry level. Companies will have to demonstrate how they are championing gender diversity & inclusion across their business, driving change, as well as their influence and impact over the past 12 months in particular.

Investment Industry Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year (New)

Open to initiatives launched or significantly enhanced in the year to 31 March 2022 which have made a real impact in terms of improving diversity & inclusion in the UK investment industry. The judges will be looking at the aims of the initiative, execution, creativity, reach, engagement, impact and future development plans.

Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award - Decided by the judging panel

In recognition of a woman who has made an outstanding individual contribution to the investment industry. This award will be decided by the panel.
