Masakazu Takeda, Portfolio Manager (SPARX Japan Fund)

Masakazu Takeda has over 20 years of portfolio management and financial analysis experience. Since 2006, he has been the lead portfolio manager of the Japan Focus All Cap Strategy. Mr. Takeda joined SPARX in 1999 as a research analyst and became a portfolio manager in 2004.

Talvinder Mann, Partner, AP Capital

Talvinder (Tal) has over thirteen years' experience in Fund Distribution and has been based in both, UK and Switzerland. He brings extensive experience in strategy and sales coverage, with a track record in fund-raising across; Private Banks, Fund of Funds/Multi-managers, Discretionary Wealth Managers and Investment Banks (inc Fund Derivatives). Prior to AP Capital, he held senior distribution positions including Head of Wealth at Aviva Investors and Director of Global Banks at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Tal holds an MSc. Finance from the University of Strathclyde Business School and is a CFA Charterholder.
Ben Steele, Partner, AP Capital
Ben has over fifteen years' experience in Fund Distribution. He has extensive sales experience working across the Institutional and Wholesale marketplace in UK and Europe. He has a track record of fund-raising across listed and private markets strategies. Prior to AP Capital, he held senior distribution positions including Director of Business Development at IFM Investors and Aberdeen Standard Investments. He also covered Institutional and Wholesale markets across UK and Europe for First State Investments and Goldman Sachs. Ben holds a BA (Hons) Business and Economics from the University of Durham.
Daigo Hisaoka, Global Business Development
Daigo began his career at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation in the Asset Management division, where he was responsible for distributing Japanese equity strategies to overseas institutional clients and servicing existing investors. He later joined SPARX Asset Management and is currently a member of the Global Business Development team. He is responsible for the distribution and client servicing of SPARX’s Japanese equity strategies for institutional investors across Europe, covering both long-only and long-short mandates. He works closely with portfolio managers on investor communications, strategic business development, and ongoing client engagement.
