GIB Asset Management

GIB Asset Management (GIB AM) combines high-conviction investing with disciplined active strategies across equities and fixed income. By focusing on markets where active insight delivers the greatest value, our objective is to generate long-term outperformance for our clients.

Operating from London and New York, GIB AM manages a portfolio exceeding $4 .5 billion.

Fund: GIB AM Sustainable World Corporate Bond Fund

Why is the Fund a Fund to Watch?:

Designed to capture mispricing

Built on the belief that credit is a mean-reverting asset class, the Fund seeks to take advantage of dislocations when markets overreact to short-term noise. Through disciplined valuation analysis and dynamic credit risk adjustments, the Fund aims to convert volatility into alpha.

Strategically diversified

The Fund has a deliberately diversified custom benchmark (60% Global Investment Grade, 20% Global High Yield, 20% Emerging Markets) allowing for strategic exposure across regions and ratings where spreads compensate for risk, while retaining a core investment grade anchor with lower sector and issuer concentration than other indices.

High-conviction, multi-thematic, valuation-driven positioning

The strategy takes a longer-term time horizon to credit analysis, focussing on companies with durable revenue drivers and embedded downside protection, but only allocates capital where valuations justify. This selective approach prioritises risk-adjusted returns through the credit cycle.

Presentation Synopsis:

Volatility creates opportunities: Active credit in turbulent markets

Volatility is becoming an increasingly prominent feature of fixed income markets. With spreads tight and dispersion rising, broad beta alone is unlikely to drive returns. This session will explore why active management is critical in today’s credit environment. We will examine how structural shifts including AI, fiscal expansion, and evolving market technicals are reshaping corporate bond markets, and why this requires a disciplined approach to find opportunities for outperformance while managing risk. We will outline GIB Asset Management’s disciplined, valuation driven approach and explain how we can build a globally diversified credit portfolio designed to turn volatility into alpha and generate superior risk-adjusted returns through the cycle.
